About Us

JKM Design Consortium is a registered company formed by Architects with more than four and a half decades of professional experience. The objective of the company is to provide consultancy services of high professional standards in building and allied infrastructure projects.

The company has its headquarters at Kottayam. Ar. Jose K. Mathew, a graduate of the College of Engineering Trivandrum, serves as the company’s founder chairman and principal architect. He began his professional career as a partner of J.J. Architects in 1980 after holding a number of professional jobs both in India and outside.

In 1989 J.J Architects was reorganized as Jose K Mathew & Associates. J K M Design Consortium was established in 1996 by effecting restructuring of operations with a view to improving the quality of services as well as expanding the area of activity.

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Ar. Jose .K. Mathew was born in 1954 and graduated in 1976 from the College of Engineering Trivandrum, University of Kerala. His professional experience spans over a period of 4 decades. He has to his credit 4 national awards, and 3 regional awards and was nominated for 3 international awards including the Aga Khan award for architecture.

While serving as the chairman of the Kottayam sub-center, the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) presented him with the best sub-center award. He also won the best chapter award while serving as the chairman of the IIA Kerala chapter.

He has held honorary academic positions at numerous architectural schools both inside and outside the state, such as MG University, MIT, Manipal, University of Mysore, Kerala University, and others. He also served as a member of the board of syllabus for architectural education at MG University.

Ar. Mathew Jose is a partner at JKM Design Consortium and heads the Cochin office. He brings with him a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to our team. His passion for creating tropical spaces that resonate with our philosophy of blending architecture seamlessly with the tropical environment makes him an invaluable addition to the team at JKMDC.

Ar. Mathew Jose will play a key role in our journey of architectural innovation and transformative projects. He graduated from University School of Design Mysore in the year 2013. We look forward to redefining the boundaries of architecture, by creating spaces that are tropical and that resonate with the essence of their surroundings and becoming a testament to our collective vision for extraordinary living.
